Day one was all about driving! Got started around 9am, hit the road towards Kansas City. First part of the trip was uneventful, even had a “tail wind” traveling across Kansas…that will NEVER happen again!
1st night we stopped at High Plains Camping in Oakley, KS. If ya ever get a chance to stop and camp there, keep going. Not worth it! I went in and was somewhat greeted by a hateful old hag. Rude and condescending…almost told her what I thought or her and her park….but I was tired and paid her high price.
