Day 11

Day 11

Today is Yellowstone day! We head to the park and take the south route towards Old Faithful. Yellowstone is a BIG park, and there’s a lot of driving between “sights”…several miles where you are just looking at pine trees.
The place is packed, just like Glacier. Everyone is out enjoying the great outdoors. I guess sick of being stuck inside during the Kung Flu crisis.
Spent the day driving thru the park, then a little fishing behind the campsite that evening.

Fishing in the Madison River above the dams is tough this time of year. Water is really warm, trout stay low and don’t move much! The best fishing is below Earthquake Lake where the water is colder. Colder since the river is fed from water at the bottom of the lake. It’s also one of the most famous trout streams in America and has heavy use.
