Solitude is the attribute of the strong.
The weak is always found in the crowd.

7 years ago we bought our first travel trailer. Looking back, we were about 20 years too late! Had I known how much fun and relaxing RV’ing would be, I would have started a LONG time ago!
My wife and I are neither independently wealthy, we both have pretty good jobs, but do not have a lot of money left over to travel. So, we have to be somewhat fugal, look for good deals and stay in places that are not so expensive.
Our main goal is…Solitude! Peace and Quiet! We both have pretty stressful jobs. When we go on vacation, we want to get away from people, traffic, noise and stress! There are lots of places still left that offer these attributes, you just gotta know where to look. Most of these places we have found by accident, lots of research and by the recommendations of friends. Hopefully, this blog will help you in locating some of those places without the trial and error. I despise having spent time, money and effort traveling to somewhere only to find out it’s NOT what the travel brochure said it was!
Fly Fishing is my favorite past time. This blog will have lots of posts about fly fishing for trout. Again, not being that wealthy, we cannot afford $400 for a half-day professional guide service…just not gonna happen! So, I have to find those special fishing spots on my own. They are out there, just takes some research, talking to locals and some detective work. A lot of the time, locals and fly fishing shops are somewhat hesitant to share those “special” spots…no one wants to really divulge their secret spots.
Hopefully, these posts will help you get to some of those spots, save you a little time and money and provide some Solitude while trying to land that monster trout.
In this blog, may find some “affiliate links”. If you click on those links and purchase something, I get a small commission. There is also Google Ads…SORRY! Same thing, each time an ad is shown, I get a couple pennies! I hope that someday, I’ll bring in some extra cash to help fund the “Mark Amtower Memorial 1st Responder Scholarship”. In honor of our son, that was taken from us way too soon!!
